At De Goede Bulb Farms we are very proud to continue our Dutch tradition of field growing quality flower bulbs and perennials. Our founder, Henry "Hank" De Goede, started the business in 1951 in Mt. Vernon, WA. In 1976, Hank moved the business to our current location where the second and third generations work with dedicated employees to produce bulbs and perennials on 300 acres of fertile "Cinebar Silt Loam." We are kept busy year round with the planting, cultivating, harvesting, sorting/dividing, and the shipping of our bulbs and perennials.
While we are technically a field production operation, a large part of our crew spends up to 9 months of the year in the warehouse processing made-to-order shipments. Orders are placed through Brokers and are able to be drop shipped directly to the customer. You can click the perennial link for a current list of the perennials we produce. If you are interested in a list of our brokers please contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our field division is also responsible for the sales of tulip and dutch iris cut flowers. Our field grown cut tulips and iris are superior in quality when compared to cuts that are greenhouse grown. They yield larger flowers and heavier stems. Our cut flower season usually runs late March to early June. Please click the cut flower link for more information regarding our cut flower program.
